Fitesa expands melt-blowing business

In May 2022, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Fitesa announced a contract with equipment supplier Reicofil to build four projects around the world. The project includes the introduction of state-of-the-art equipment covering multiple technologies and significantly increasing the company's production capacity in multiple market segments.

Fitesa is one of the largest non-woven fabrics manufacturers in the world, with production sites covering many regions. The company has developed a number of innovative solutions for hygiene and healthcare through the use of various technologies including spunbond, carding into nets, air flow into nets, films, elastic materials, composites. Headquartered in Porto Alegre, Brazil, Fitesa currently has 16 production sites in 10 countries and regions, including Brazil, Mexico, Italy, Sweden, Germany, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand and China. Over the past two years, the company has made significant investments to expand its global presence and innovation capabilities, including the acquisition of a 51% stake in CNC International, a Southeast Asian spunmelt nonwoven-based manufacturer, by the investment in a new production line and the launch of a new innovation center and pilot line in Simpsonville, South Carolina, USA.
