LENZING launches carbon neutral fibers for wet wipes

LENZING collaborated with ClimatePartner to develop carbon neutral Veocel viscose fibers and launched them in Europe and the United States, expanding its sustainable viscose fiber product portfolio globally. This expansion is a new initiative for Veocel fibers, aimed at providing non-woven value chain partners and brand owners with products that have a positive impact on the environment and drive the entire industry to reduce carbon footprint.

By providing carbon neutral viscose fibers, LENZING Group helps to support the booming hygiene product market. This fiber is sourced from wood and pulp obtained from sustainably and responsibly managed forests, following the strict guidelines of LENZING wood and pulp usage policies and forest certification systems.

Carbon neutral viscose fibers are produced at LENZING 's production plant in Austria, a comprehensive facility that reduces actual carbon emissions by utilizing efficient production methods (such as direct wood to fiber production) and renewable energy sources such as solar and biomass. In order to provide these fibers as carbon neutral products, LENZING monitors emissions and offsets unavoidable emissions by funding climate projects.
