The local time of 15^th Nov. Our State President Xi Jinping begin the China-U.S. summit meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden at the Philoli Estate in San Francisco.

Xi Jinping point out that : “My last meeting with Mr. President was in Bali which has been over a year. Many things have happened in the past year. The world has come out of the COVID-19 pandemic, but the huge impact of the epidemic is still there. The world economy is beginning to recover, but the power is insufficient, the industrial and supply chains are disrupted, and protectionism is rising. These problems are very prominent. As the most important bilateral relationship in the world, China US relations should be considered and planned against the backdrop of the accelerated evolution of the world's century long changes, bringing benefits to the people of both countries and demonstrating responsibility for human progress.”

Xi Jinping point out that : “For over 50 years, China US relations have never been smooth sailing, and there have always been problems of one kind or another, always moving forward amid twists and turns. It is not feasible for these two major powers to not interact, and it is unrealistic to change each other. The consequences of conflict and confrontation cannot be borne by anyone.

I still believe that competition among major powers is not the foundation of this era and cannot solve the problems faced by China, the United States, and the world. This earth can accommodate China and the United States, and our respective successes are opportunities for each other. The difference in history, culture, social systems, and development paths between China and the United States is an objective reality. However, as long as both sides adhere to mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation, they can completely transcend differences and find the right way for the two major powers to coexist. I firmly believe that the future of China US relations is bright.

Mr. President and I are at the helm of China US relations, bearing heavy responsibilities to the people, the world, and history. I look forward to exchanging in-depth views with Mr. President today on strategic, global, and directional issues related to China US relations, as well as major issues related to world peace and development, and reaching new consensus.”
